In Basel, cannabis is best known from the city's pilot trial. That trial is a non-medical research project under Art. 8a of the Narcotics Act and has nothing to do with medical treatment.

- The cantonal pharmacist of Basel-Stadt publishes a register of all pharmacies in the canton.
