How does the consultation work?

Before the consultation: the free information call

You can start with a free 10-minute information call with our physician. It covers the process, the legal situation and the costs. The call is not medical advice and not an appointment with a physician in the clinical sense. After the call, you receive a written summary of the process and of what to prepare, by e-mail. You then decide whether you want to book the medical consultation; there is no obligation.

The medical consultation by video

The consultation is a clinical appointment by video with our physician Oxana Smagulova. It takes place entirely online, with no waiting room, and you see the same physician at every appointment. Consultations are held in German, English or Russian, and French-speaking patients have their appointments in English. The information call can also take place in Italian; the language of the consultation is then agreed before the appointment.

In the consultation, the physician reviews your medical history and your current medication, answers your questions and documents the assessment. Whether treatment is an option is decided individually by the physician during the consultation. Where medically indicated, she draws up a treatment plan.

After the consultation

You receive written documentation of the appointment.

If a narcotics prescription (Betäubungsmittelrezept) is issued, which happens only where medically indicated, the original paper form goes by post: with your documented consent directly to the pharmacy you choose, otherwise to you. The white original and the pink copy must be physically at the pharmacy when the medicine is dispensed, and digital transmission is not possible for these prescriptions (KAV position paper 0025).

We have no contracts with any pharmacy, and you choose your pharmacy freely (Art. 26 HMG). We are a practice, not a pharmacy: we do not store, sell or send medicines. Details: how the prescription reaches the pharmacy and choosing a pharmacy.

Follow-up consultations also take place by video, with the same physician; where there is a treatment plan, she reviews it at these scheduled appointments.

A money-back guarantee applies to the consultation: if the physician concludes in the consultation that treatment is not medically indicated, you receive the consultation fee back in full. The fee covers the appointment with the physician and its written documentation; medication is not included, and pharmacy costs are billed separately by the pharmacy.
